A historic first conference in Latin America

It is with great enthusiasm and pleasure that we announce the news that Computing in Cardiology (CinC) will be hosted, for the first time in its 52-year history, in Latin America. We   hope to  welcome you to São Paulo, Brazil, the largest city in South America, for the CinC conference 2025, between September 14th to Sept 17th.

It will be a rich opportunity for attendees to visit and travel throughout Brazil, one of the most visited destinations in Latin America, a country with an immense variety of unique natural beauty and ranked in 2023 as the best country in the world for ecotourism by the Forbes magazine.

The city of São Paulo is the capital of the state of São Paulo, which is in the southeast of the country, a 40 minute flight from the city of Rio de Janeiro.  The city of São Paulo’s nightlife is highly active and diverse and is considered one of the best in the country. It is also thought to be the most multicultural city in Brazil, and the home of important historic monuments, cultural centers, museums and parks, excellent restaurants and important international influence in commerce, finance, arts, besides entertainment from over 70 different nationalities.

The city of São Paulo is situated on a plateau at beyond the Serra do Mar (Coastal Mountain range), part of the Brazilian Highlands, at an elevation of 800 meters above sea level, and is only 70 kilometers away from the Atlantic Ocean. The state of São Paulo is in a picturesque region with 30% of its total area covered by the Atlantic rainforest.

The state’s coastline is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and is more than 700 km long, 60% of which is along a strip of sand, with around 200 beaches. Beaches are of rare beauty, some still sparsely inhabited, and these offer ideal conditions for water sports or bathing. Thousands of waterfalls cut through the tropical rainforests of the coast, which have a large number of ecological reserves.

The CinC 2025 will held in the Rebouças Convention Center .  This Convention Center is strategically located near the University of São Paulo medical school (Hospital das Clínicas, FM-USP) and the Internationally renowned Heart Institute (InCor), and benefits from its proximity to these two Latin American healthcare landmarks.   The University of São Paulo medical school is the largest hospital complex in Latin America, and the Heart Institute is one of the world’s most advanced cardiological centers, which brings prestige and relevance to our conference meetings and makes it an ideal venue for scientific events and conferences in the fields of medicine and technology.

The Rebouças Convention Center is one of the most traditional spaces for events in São Paulo, accumulating over 9 thousand hosted events and about 3 million visitors. The official hotels, near the Paulista Avenue, are all   within a 12 minutes walking distance of the convention center (a leisurely walk, comfortably full after a super Brazilian breakfast of tropical fruits)

The opening Ceremony and the presentation of the shortlist for the Rosanna Degani Young Investigation Award will be in the Grand theater, located on the ground floor with a capacity of up to 555 attendees.

The four parallel sessions will be placed in the Turquesa rooms, located on the third floor, each with a capacity of 160 attendees.  Next to these rooms, the poster sessions will take place in an area of 180 m2. Coffee breaks and lunch will be held on the same floor, in an area of 415 m2.

Below is presented the localization of the Rebouças Convention Center (in Portuguese, Centro de Convenções Rebouças), located in front of the InCor, where will be held the Physionet Hackathon, and 3 minutes walking from the Teatro da FMUSP (Theater of FMUSP), where will be held the Sunday Symposium.

We are working hard to provide the CinC community with the best experience possible during this congress, held in Brazil for the first time.
